Biological Activity

TRAP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide that acts as an agonist of protease-activated receptor-1 (PAR-1) and activates G-protein coupled receptor 15 (GPR15) on T-cells. Activation of GPR15 by TRAP-6 promotes β-arrestin2 interactions to inhibit TAK1 and NF-κB signaling pathways. This pathway regulation suppresses acute graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) while maintaining graft-versus-tumor (GvT) responses and regulating immune responses. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
