Biological Activity

TES-1025 is a potent and selective inhibitor of human α-amino-β-carboxymuconate-ε-semialdehyde decarboxylase (ACMSD) with an IC50 of 0.013 μM. By inhibiting ACMSD, the compound modulates de novo nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) biosynthesis and increases intracellular NAD+ levels in cellular systems. Boosting cellular NAD+ pools through this pathway links cellular metabolism to downstream signaling networks and supports metabolic homeostasis. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
