Biological Activity

Terevalefim (ANG- is a small-molecule hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) mimetic that targets the tyrosine kinase receptor c-MET [1]. By stimulating c-MET dimerization and auto-phosphorylation, it activates downstream signaling through the AKT pathway and upregulates anti-apoptotic proteins such as Bcl-2 [1]. These downstream signaling events suppress cellular apoptosis and promote tubular epithelial cell proliferation, contributing to enhanced cellular survival and tissue repair following ischemic injury [1]. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
