Talfirastide acetate (TXA127 acetate) is an endogenous heptapeptide of the renin-angiotensin system that inhibits purified canine angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) with an IC50 of 0.65 μM. It functions as a local synergistic modulator of kinin-induced vasodilation by inhibiting ACE and promoting nitric oxide release. Through activation of the alternative renin-angiotensin system pathway, it exerts anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic, and cardioprotective cellular phenotypes. [1]
