Biological Activity

Tagtociclib (PF-07104091) is a potent inhibitor targeting cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (CDK2). By selectively inhibiting CDK2 activity, Tagtociclib disrupts cell cycle progression through the G1/S phase transition and impairs downstream proliferative signaling pathways. Consequently, blockade of CDK2 function leads to robust cell cycle arrest, suppression of tumor cell proliferation, and the induction of apoptosis in susceptible cancer cells. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
