T16Ainh-A01 is a potent and selective inhibitor of transmembrane protein 16A (TMEM16A, also known as ANO1), a calcium-activated chloride channel, with an IC50 of. Blockade of TMEM16A by T16Ainh-A01 suppresses calcium-dependent chloride currents, leading to altered epithelial ion transport and reduced smooth muscle contraction in vascular and airway tissues. Consequently, this compound serves as a valuable tool for investigating TMEM16A-mediated ion transport pathways. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
