STX-721 (Elticertinib) is an irreversible inhibitor of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) harboring exon 20 insertion mutations that selectively inhibits the proliferation of Ba/Fcells expressing EGFR exon 20 A_VinsASV and D_NinsSVD. By covalently binding mutant EGFR, STX-721 blocks oncogenic kinase signaling, suppressing downstream cellular proliferation and tumor growth driven by exon 20 insertion variants. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
