Biological Activity
STC-15 is an orally active small-molecule inhibitor targeting the RNA methyltransferase METTL3. Pharmacological inhibition of METTL3 leads to a marked reduction in cellular RNA N6-methyladenosine modification levels. Downstream, this depletion activates anti-cancer immune responses associated with enhanced interferon pathway signaling. Consequently, STC-15 suppresses tumor cell growth and synergizes with T-cell immune checkpoint blockade in anti-tumor therapeutic strategies. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
