STAT3-IN-13 is a small-molecule STAT3 inhibitor that directly targets the STAT3 SH2 domain. By suppressing STAT3 Y705 phosphorylation, it blocks downstream target gene expression and disrupts key oncogenic signaling pathways. This inhibition induces apoptosis in cancer cells and reduces cell proliferation in vitro. Additionally, STAT3-IN-13 demonstrates potent in vivo efficacy by suppressing tumor growth and metastasis, highlighting its utility in cancer research. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
