Biological Activity

Sonrotoclax (BGB-11417) is an orally active, highly potent, and selective inhibitor of B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2) that targets both wild-type Bcl-2 and the venetoclax-resistant G101V mutant while showing selectivity over Bcl-xL. By disrupting anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 signaling, it induces mitochondrial apoptosis. Consequently, sonrotoclax exhibits robust cytotoxic activity across diverse leukemia and lymphoma cell lines and effectively suppresses tumor growth in hematologic malignancy models. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
