Sodium oleate is a monounsaturated fatty acid sodium salt that functions as an activator of Na+/K+ ATPase. It modulates cellular lipid signaling and membrane fluidity, suppressing cell viability in low-metastatic cancer cell models such as breast carcinoma MCF-7 and gastric carcinoma SGC7901 cells. By regulating cell membrane transport and downstream apoptotic cascades, sodium oleate inhibits tumor cell proliferation and survival. [1]
