SN-6 is a selective Na+/Ca2+ exchanger (NCX) inhibitor targeting NCX1 (IC50 2.9 μM), NCX2 (IC50 16 μM), and NCX3 (IC50 8.6 μM). By preferentially suppressing reverse-mode Na+/Ca2+ exchange, the compound regulates intracellular calcium homeostasis and downstream signaling pathways. Consequently, SN-6 attenuates intracellular calcium overload and effectively abolishes acetylcholine-induced vasodilation in vascular tissues. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
