SMI-4a is a potent small-molecule inhibitor targeting Pim-1 kinase with modest activity against Pim-2. By inhibiting PIM kinase activity, SMI-4a disrupts downstream mTOR and BAD signaling pathways, leading to G1-phase cell cycle arrest and induction of apoptosis in precursor-B acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells. Furthermore, SMI-4a treatment suppresses leukemic blast proliferation and synergizes with dexamethasone to enhance cytotoxic effects in hematologic malignancy models. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
