Biological Activity

Selective PI3Kδ Inhibitor 1 (compound 7n) is a highly potent and isoform-selective inhibitor of phosphoinositide 3-kinase delta (PI3Kδ). By selectively targeting the catalytic p110δ subunit of class I PI3K, it effectively blocks downstream activation of the AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. This targeted pathway inhibition leads to decreased cellular proliferation, induced apoptotic signaling, and suppressed survival phenotypes in target cells. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
