Biological Activity

SDU-071 acts as a small-molecule inhibitor targeting the BRD4-p53 protein-protein interaction. By interrupting BRD4-mediated transcriptional regulation and downstream chromatin remodeling, SDU-071 suppresses cellular migration, invasion, and cell proliferation in MDA-MB-231 triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells in a concentration-dependent manner. Furthermore, targeted inhibition of BRD4 blocks tumor progression and effectively reduces in vivo tumor growth in preclinical oncological models. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
