Roluperidone is a cyclic amide derivative that acts as a targeted antagonist of serotonergic 5-HT2A, sigma-2, and α1A-adrenergic receptors. By selectively inhibiting 5-HT2A and sigma-2 receptor-mediated signaling pathways, the compound modulates G-protein-coupled receptor cascades and intracellular cellular responses involved in neurotransmission. These combined receptor antagonist actions regulate downstream synaptic transmission and neuronal signaling networks. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
