RMC-5552 is a selective bi-steric inhibitor of mTORC1 designed for targeting mTORC1-activated tumors. By selectively inhibiting mTORC1 kinase activity, this compound suppresses downstream signaling by preventing the phosphorylation of key substrates including S6K and 4E-BP1. Consequently, disruption of the mTORC1 pathway impairs protein synthesis, cell proliferation, and tumor cell growth driven by hyperactive mTORC1 signaling. [1]
