Biological Activity

RGT-018 is a potent and selective small-molecule inhibitor of son of sevenless homolog 1 (SOS1) that disrupts the protein-protein interaction between KRAS and SOS1. By blocking SOS1-mediated guanine nucleotide exchange, RGT-018 effectively attenuates downstream KRAS signaling pathways, resulting in the inhibition of cellular proliferation and survival in KRAS-driven cancer models, including non-small cell lung, colorectal, and pancreatic carcinomas. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
