Biological Activity

RG14620 is an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor belonging to the tyrphostin family that directly inhibits the transport function of ATP-binding cassette subfamily G member 2 (ABCG2/BCRP). By attenuating EGFR tyrosine kinase activity and suppressing ABCG2-mediated efflux, RG14620 modulates downstream signaling pathways, reverses transporter-mediated multidrug resistance, and increases the intracellular accumulation of substrate compounds in target cells. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
