RG-7112 is an orally bioavailable, selective inhibitor of the p53-MDM2 interaction with an HTRF IC50 of. By blocking the binding of MDM2 to p53, RG-7112 prevents MDM2-mediated p53 degradation, leading to accumulation and activation of the p53 signaling pathway. This activation restores p53 transcriptional activity, inducing p21 expression, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis in p53 wild-type cancer cells. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
