Resminostat (RAS2410) is an orally bioavailable hydroxamic acid-based histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor that potently targets HDAC1, HDAC3, HDAC6, and HDAC8. By inhibiting HDAC enzymatic activity, resminostat induces hyperacetylation of histones H3 and H4, downregulating the AKT/mTOR pathway and impairing cell survival. Consequently, resminostat induces G1 cell cycle arrest and promotes apoptosis in multiple myeloma and other hematological cancer cell lines.
