Biological Activity

R243 acts as a selective small-molecule inhibitor of chemokine receptor CCR8 signaling and chemotaxis. By blocking CCR8 activation, R243 impairs downstream intracellular calcium mobilization and directed cellular migration mediated by its primary ligand CCL1. Consequently, functional inhibition of the CCR8 signaling axis suppresses immune cell recruitment, offering a targeted approach for modulating CCR8-dependent inflammatory responses and lymphocyte trafficking. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
