PRDX1-IN-1 is a celastrol-ligustrazine hybrid functioning as a potent inhibitor of peroxiredoxin 1 (PRDX1). By targeting PRDX1, it disrupts cellular redox homeostasis and drives intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation. Downstream, this ROS overload inhibits cancer cell proliferation, migration, and metastasis, while inducing redox-mediated cell death and exhibiting significant antitumor efficacy in lung cancer models.
