Pinus pinaster bark extract is a botanical polyphenolic mixture with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity that targets the NF-κB and AP-1 signaling pathways. Attenuation of NF-κB p65 nuclear translocation and AP-1 activation suppresses inducible nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase-2 expression, leading to decreased secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 in stimulated immune cells.[1][2]
