PF-07293893 is an oral and selective small-molecule activator of the AMP-activated protein kinase gamma 3 (AMPKγ3/PRKAG3) regulatory subunit. By targeting the AMPK complex, this compound stimulates downstream metabolic pathways that regulate cellular energy sensing and lipid homeostasis. Activation of AMPK signaling enhances cardiac metabolic efficiency, offering therapeutic potential for the treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
