Pexmetinib is a potent dual inhibitor targeting p38 MAPK and Tie-2. Inhibition of p38 MAPK suppresses stress-activated protein kinase signaling cascades, leading to reduced production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and altered downstream transcription factor activity. Concurrently, targeting the Tie-2 receptor tyrosine kinase modulates endothelial signaling pathways that regulate vascular homeostasis, angiogenesis, and cell survival phenotypes. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
