Petasites Japonicus Extract CAS Number

Petasites Japonicus Extract is a natural botanical extract that modulates inflammatory targets, including cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). Downregulation of these enzymes attenuates downstream signaling through pathways such as c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), leading to decreased cellular production of nitric oxide and prostaglandin E2. These molecular alterations inhibit pro-inflammatory mediator release and attenuate inflammatory cell activation in macrophage and microglial cell models.^[1][2]
