Biological Activity

PDS-0330 is a target-specific inhibitor of Claudin-1 (CLDN1). By disrupting the physical interaction between Claudin-1 and the Src oncogene, PDS-0330 effectively blocks downstream Claudin-1-mediated signaling pathways. This mechanistic inhibition impairs colorectal cancer cell proliferation, suppresses tumor progression and metastasis, and significantly enhances cellular apoptosis, thereby exhibiting potent antitumor and chemosensitizing activity in colorectal cancer models. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
