Oxeladin citrate is a non-opioid antitussive agent that acts as a potent cough suppressant. It modulates the central nervous system cough center in the brainstem, effectively suppressing the cough reflex arc without depressing respiratory functions. By regulating signal transmission along sensory nerves and brainstem reflex circuits, oxeladin citrate inhibits cough responses triggered by diverse etiologies and reduces coughing frequency and severity. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
