Biological Activity

OUL232 is a potent inhibitor of mono-ADP-ribosyltransferases, selectively targeting PARP10 (IC50 of 7.8 nM) as well as PARP7, PARP11, PARP12, PARP14, and PARP15 at nanomolar potencies. By competing with nicotinamide in the enzyme active site, it blocks mono-ADP-ribosylation signaling pathways. OUL232 readily enters cells and demonstrates specific target engagement without showing inherent cytotoxicity. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
