Biological Activity
ONO-AE3-208 is a selective and orally active EP4 receptor antagonist that targets the prostaglandin E2 receptor subtype 4. By blocking EP4 receptor activation, ONO-AE3-208 inhibits downstream cyclic AMP production and dampens pro-inflammatory signaling pathways. These effects lead to suppressed immune cell activation, reduced inflammatory mediator release, and attenuated tissue remodeling in preclinical models.[1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
