Biological Activity

Oleoyl-L-alpha-lysophosphatidic acid sodium salt is a bioactive lysophospholipid metabolite and endogenous agonist for lysophosphatidic acid receptors, specifically LPA1 and LPA2. Receptor engagement activates downstream G protein-coupled signaling pathways, such as the ERK1/2 and AKT cascades. These intracellular signaling events regulate diverse physiological and cellular functions, including cell proliferation, cell survival, cellular migration, and cytoskeletal reorganization in multiple cell types.[1][2]
