O4I2 is a small-molecule Oct3/4 inducer that functions as a chemical activator of pluripotency-associated signaling. By enhancing the expression and activity of the key transcription factor Oct3/4, O4I2 promotes cellular reprogramming and stem cell self-renewal pathways. This compound facilitates the transition of somatic cells into pluripotent stem cells, enhancing generation efficiency for induced pluripotent stem cells. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
