O-1602 is a synthetic cannabinoid analog that acts as a potent agonist of G-protein coupled receptor 55 (GPR55). Activation of GPR55 modulates downstream signaling pathways to attenuate neuroinflammatory responses. In preclinical models, O-1602 demonstrates anxiolytic and antidepressant-like activities by protecting against methamphetamine-induced hippocampal neurogenic damage and mitigating stress responses associated with chronic social defeat. Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
