Biological Activity

NVP-CGM097 is a potent and selective MDM2 inhibitor that binds human MDM2. By disrupting the MDM2-p53 interaction at the p53-binding site, it restores and activates the p53 signaling pathway. This activation induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in wild-type p53 cancer cells, demonstrating strong p53 status-dependent antitumor activity in preclinical tumor models. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
