Biological Activity

NPS-1034 is a potent dual inhibitor of c-Met (IC50 of 48 nM) and Axl (IC50 of 10.3 nM). By targeting these receptor tyrosine kinases, the compound blocks downstream phosphorylation within the AKT and ERK signaling pathways. Consequently, NPS-1034 suppresses cell proliferation and triggers apoptosis in cancer cell lines, effectively overcoming resistance to EGFR inhibitors in non-small cell lung cancer models. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
