NK-252 is an activator of Nrf2 that directly interacts with the Nrf2-binding domain of Keap1. Disruption of the Keap1-Nrf2 interaction promotes Nrf2 nuclear translocation and activates the antioxidant response element signaling pathway, driving the expression of cytoprotective genes such as NQO1. Consequently, NK-252 attenuates oxidative stress, reduces lipid peroxidation, and suppresses hepatic fibrosis in animal models of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
