Biological Activity

NHWD-870 is a potent bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) family inhibitor that selectively targets BRD2, BRD, BRD4, and BRDT. Mechanistically, NHWD-870 suppresses BRD4 activity and its downstream target HIF1α, resulting in the inhibition of CSF1 expression. This transcriptional suppression disrupts tumor cell–macrophage crosstalk, blocking tumor-associated macrophage proliferation and attenuating tumor cell growth in solid tumors. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
