Biological Activity
NH2-PEG3-C2-NH-Boc is a polyethylene glycol (PEG)-based PROTAC linker utilized in the synthesis of proteolysis targeting chimeras (PROTACs). By providing optimal spatial flexibility and solubility, PEG-based linkers facilitate the efficient assembly of a target protein-PROTAC-E3 ligase ternary complex. This structural orientation recruits E3 ubiquitin ligases to induce selective ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins across various cellular pathways. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
