Biological Activity
N6F11 is a selective inducer of ferroptosis that targets the RING domain of the E3 ubiquitin ligase tripartite motif containing 25 (TRIM25). Binding to TRIM25 promotes K48-linked polyubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) in cancer cells. This loss of GPX4 impairs cellular antioxidant defense, driving lipid peroxidation accumulation and inducing cell type-specific ferroptotic cell death. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
