Myt1-IN-1 acts as a potent inhibitor of membrane-associated tyrosine and threonine-specific cdc2-inhibitory kinase (Myt1, also known as PKMYT1). By targeting Myt1, the compound blocks the inhibitory phosphorylation of Cdc2 (CDK1) at Thr14, preventing proper cell cycle regulation and entry into mitosis. Consequently, Myt1 inhibition impairs tumor cell viability and exhibits selective anticancer activity in cancer models dependent on Myt1 signaling. [1]
