MTX-211 is a dual inhibitor targeting phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) kinase. By concurrently blocking PI3K and EGFR signaling, it suppresses downstream AKT/mTOR and MAPK/ERK pathways, thereby inhibiting cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis in cancer cells. Concurrent targeting of EGFR and PI3K crosstalk represents an effective strategy to overcome signaling resistance in receptor tyrosine kinase-driven malignancies. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
