Biological Activity

MSX-122 is a small molecule and partial antagonist targeting CXCR4 (IC. By selectively inhibiting the CXCL12/CXCR4 signaling pathway, it blocks agonist-induced CXCR4 activation and downstream intracellular signal transduction. This targeted inhibition effectively attenuates CXCR4-mediated cell migration, invasion, and chemotaxis, thereby disrupting essential microenvironmental crosstalk and metastatic cell dissemination within CXCL12-expressing cellular networks. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
