MS4078 is a proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) degrader and inhibitor of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) that reduces NPM-ALK (DC50 11 nM in SU-DHL-1 cells) and EML4-ALK (DC50 59 nM in NCI-H2228 cells) protein levels. It induces ALK degradation through a cereblon- and proteasome-dependent mechanism, impairing oncogenic signaling and potently inhibiting proliferation of SU-DHL-1 cells with an IC50 of 33 nM. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
