MS140 is a potent cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) inhibitor and proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) degrader. By selectively inducing ubiquitin-proteasome-mediated degradation and inhibition of CDK4/6, MS140 suppresses the cyclin D-CDK4/6 signaling pathway. This disruption prevents retinoblastoma protein phosphorylation, inducing G1 phase cell cycle arrest and inhibiting tumor cell proliferation. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
