Biological Activity

VAV1 degrader-3 (MRT-6160) is an orally active molecular glue degrader that selectively targets VAV1 for proteasomal degradation. Targeted depletion of VAV1 disrupts T-cell receptor signaling pathways, resulting in the suppression of immune cell activation, proliferation, and inflammatory cytokine production. Consequently, this compound attenuates disease progression in preclinical models of autoimmune disorders, including experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis and collagen-induced arthritis. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
