ML365 is a selective small-molecule inhibitor targeting the TASK-1 potassium channel (KCNK3). By inhibiting KCNK3 channel conductance, ML365 blockades two-pore domain potassium currents across cell membranes. This inhibition modulates membrane potential and cellular excitability in potassium-dependent pathways. Downstream functional consequences include altered signaling in pulmonary vascular smooth muscle cells and neuronal pathways, making ML365 a valuable tool for investigating KCNK3-mediated ion transport mechanisms and physiology.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
