Biological Activity

ML346 is a heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) activator and novel modulator of proteostasis for protein conformational diseases. The compound selectively enhances heat shock response signaling, leading to the upregulation of molecular chaperones including Hsp70. This selective activation promotes proper chaperone-mediated protein folding, prevents protein misfolding and toxic aggregate accumulation, and maintains cellular proteome homeostasis under conditions of proteotoxic stress. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
