ML-9 HCl is a selective inhibitor targeting myosin light chain kinase (MLCK), Akt kinase, and stromal interaction molecule 1 (STIM1), as well as Ca2+-permeable channels. By blocking MLCK and STIM1-mediated calcium signaling pathways, it disrupts intracellular calcium homeostasis. Furthermore, as a lysosomotropic agent, ML-9 HCl modulates lysosomal function to regulate autophagy and induce cell death. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
