MKP10241 is a potent, orally active GPR119 agonist that stimulates intracellular cAMP accumulation in GPR119-expressing cells. Activation of GPR119 downstream signaling promotes glucose-dependent insulin secretion and enhances metabolic homeostasis. Preclinically, MKP10241 reduces blood glucose and HbA1c levels in rodent models of acute and chronic diabetes, while demonstrating therapeutic efficacy in models of obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis. Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
